The importance of education

Education is the most important fundament in between teenagers and other scholars, since the first university was open in ancient Greece by Aristoteles, education has taken huge advances as scientists and others discover new things that need to be worked done.

Education is fundamental in the lives of all the people as they need it to be successful in life and achieve great things, education doesn’t have to do with anything related with your ethnicity or socioeconomic status quo. right now schools abroad from mexico offer internships and student exchanges where they are able to develop better social skills and learn from a different type of educational systems.

I was fortunate to attend various schools. I started at Eton School Santa Fe. I learned everything that prepared me to be a better person and also develop skills so I can facilitate my studies after being at a private school, I made the decision to try a new experience studying in the West Vancouver School District, where I was accepted at Rockridge Secondary School as the only Mexican Student accepted to their IB program where I had one of the best personal projects, but all this was through hard work and being able to adapt to a different school systems. I developed the ability to be what I would consider a very charismatic person. All this was achievable by having the level of education my parents allowed me to have. I am attending my last year of high school in Mazenod where I am training myself to get ready to go to university and hopefully be able to give all that I have to my children.

Education

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”-

This is what I think about education : loving, trusting, giving is part of education. You have to know how to love, but more than loving others is loving yourself, accept yourself as who you are. Education is the most powerful weapon with which you can change the world, after you have done all that then you can start loving others, respecting others, etc., because the only thing more expensive than education is ignorance. As Albert Einstein says “Education is not the learning of facts, it’s rather the training of the mind to think.” Of course for doing all of this you have to want it, if you are doing it for someone else then you will not be inspired and it won’t be something that calls your attention. If you do it for yourself it’s completely different, it’s something that fuels you, and you will do anything to achieve your goals. The capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill, the willingness to learn is a choice.

In my former school I used to study a lot, I used to have 10’s and everything, then I started to go out, started to party and to become too lazy. As I entered Mazenod, laziness continued to be a big part of me but then I realized that it was not going to help in anything, so I started to study again and that changed everything. And I will continue doing it forever because education isn’t something you can finish. The future of the world is in my classroom today. I will never give up, first because I have never given up on anything but most importantly because the expert in anything was once a beginner.
